Make a Difference
At Macoa Health, our mission is to provide exceptional care to participants in our clinical trials. Through our studies, we bring innovative treatments to patients faster, often offering therapies more advanced than those currently available. Every trial we conduct makes a tangible impact on the lives of people in our community—and that is what drives us every day.
Why Volunteer?
Clinical trials advance medicine while offering meaningful benefits to volunteers. But progress depends on people willing to participate. By joining a trial, you help shape the future of healthcare, potentially transforming treatments and improving lives. Your involvement is essential, and we can’t do it without volunteers like you.
COPD
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a progressive lung condition that makes breathing increasingly difficult over time. It includes conditions such as emphysema and chronic bronchitis, and is characterized by persistent cough, shortness of breath, wheezing, and frequent respiratory infections. COPD can significantly impact daily activities, limiting physical activity, sleep quality, and overall quality of life.
Severe Asthma
Severe asthma is a complex and often debilitating condition marked by persistent symptoms despite the use of high-dose inhaled medications and other standard therapies. Individuals with severe asthma may experience frequent exacerbations, limited lung function, repeated use of oral steroids, and disruptions to sleep, work, and daily activities, placing a significant burden on overall health and quality of life.
Uncontrolled Asthma Moderate – Severe
Uncontrolled moderate to severe asthma is more than occasional shortness of breath—it often means persistent symptoms, frequent flare-ups, nighttime awakenings, and reliance on rescue inhalers despite regular treatment. This level of asthma can significantly interfere with daily activities, work, sleep, and overall quality of life, and it may increase the risk of emergency visits or hospitalizations
